Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony - NRP
REALTOR Alexis Davis with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage-Washington has joined the Washington, NC Neighborhood Revitalization Program committee. Alexis's role on the committee is to provide real estate services by representing the NRP in sales contracts with qualified buyers approved through the program. Alexis will also be a liaison to the larger community and bring the program to the forefront as she feels this program is a worthy pursuit and will serve the community well. Alexis is serving as a volunteer in all capacities apart from receiving a reduced commission when drafting contracts. The Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) is an offshoot of Washington Housing Authority, through a partnership with the City of Washington. The NRP provides moderate to low-income families the opportunity to purchase affordable housing. The goal is to provide families with the opportunity to begin to build generational wealth by revitalizing the Teacher's Row section of the city. This is a win-win, meeting the affordable housing needs of Beaufort County residents who would not have dreamed they could become homeowners, and revitalizing and beautifying a portion of our inner city that has long been neglected and underserved. To date, there have been two homes sold, and they are working on a third. These homes are outstanding as they are custom homes, designed with the buyer's input, and are built by well-respected local builder Brad Horton. For Brad, this is definitely a labor of love, as he underbid several other builders and only uses high-grade finishes. The Washington Beaufort County Board of Realtors applauds the City of Washington, the Washington Housing Authority, the Neighborhood Revitalization Program committee, and Builder Brad Horton for their hard work and commitment to revitalize Teacher's Row and offer affordable housing to deserving Washington families.
